The Studio

Charlotte Lloyd Webber and Adrian Lillie head up an exceptional and diversely talented team from the company HQ based in Yorkshire. Having previously worked together for over two decades on many site-specific theatre productions in heritage venues, they have imbued their event design ethos with their extensive experience of performing in these magical locations.

The journey began in 2017 when they suggested a new brief for Castle Howard’s Christmas that sought to celebrate the buildings and environs as much as Christmas itself. In 2018, they won the UK Heritage Award for Best Event and now, nearly a decade later, CLW Event Design has a portfolio of exceptional properties across the UK and is building its repertoire of other seasonal events alongside private commissions.

The team's work has appeared twice in Channel 4 Christmas specials at Castle Howard and in 2025, a three-part mini-series, A Very British Christmas, following a year in the life of CLW Event Design, focused on Castle Howard alongside Bamburgh Castle and Kensington Palace.
